In the city rides:
Enter the Butler Trail anywhere along its loop around the city-Festival Beach Park, Rainey Street, 1st Street, Auditorium Shores, S Congress Bridge, Mopac/Deep Eddy, Zilker Park-
The full loop down to Pleasant valley on the east Side, across the Southern Edge of Lady Bird across Barton Creek, up to the Pedestian/bike bridge under Mopac finishing on the North edge of Lady Bird all the way back to Festival Beach Park
From the east side:
Head North on Chicon (Corner of Chicon and E 6th-Lazarus and Whistlers?) take Chicon to Manor (passing across 12th and MLK on the way), turn right on Manor and then a left on on Cherrywood, follow Cherrywood to 38 ½ street, when you get to Red River there is a merge across the street to 38th street, continue to take 38th street across the city, this is not a beginners route because there is some riding with traffic and you have to cross Lamar before finally getting to the Shoal Creek Greenbelt. Once across Lamar cut up Shoal Creek Blvd to enter the trail, now head South back towards Downtown-there are some twists and turns as you start to get into Downtown-where you have to choose a left or right. Once Downtown, there are a variety of exists to hit Power Plant and the Library, West 6th etc. as well as quick access to many bars and restaurants
Bike to Little Deli Pizzeria: the goal is to give you as much info as possible, this isn’t perfect… follow same directions as above if coming from the east side, see again:
Head North on Chicon (Corner of Chicon and E 6th-Lazarus and Whistlers?) take Chicon to Manor (passing across 12th and MLK on the way), turn right on Manor and then a left on on Cherrywood, follow Cherrywood to 38 ½ street, when you get to Red River there is a merge across the street to 38th street, continue to take 38th street across the city, this is not a beginners route because there is some riding with traffic and you have to cross Lamar before finally getting to the Shoal Creek Greenbelt. Once across Lamar cut up Shoal Creek Blvd. Rather than going Downtown head North up Shoal Creek Blvd, many protected bike lanes to explore, but the goal here is to head to Little Deli Pizzeria
If coming from Downtown, enter the Shoal Creek Greenway near Mellow Johnnys or down the ramp by Codependent!
From Shoal Creek greenway, turn right on Northland dr and follow below!!
